Yo @max neissl How do you get that effect at 8:15 where you hit the string and it only plays the echo? I have a delay pedal, a mini one, but still. Ive scowered the internet trying to figure it out but i simply cant. How the hell do you cancel the initial note and are left with the echo??

holy christ ive been playing all day trying to get this down, its a wonder it didnt take you longer to put together! also remember, Adam has a tendency to change up the songs a little bit to mitigate (pun1) boredom and tedium (pun2). (1 referencing Descending, 2 referencing The Patient. As soon as those words came to me i thought of those songs. that happens a lot, now) Oh, review 285-289. It doesn't feel right or sound correct. Rest of the cover is great!

What strings are you using? This is tuned to BEADG. At first i thought they used a 7 string, but tool using a 7 string would be a little strange.

Really late comment so fine if I don't get a response; how do the harmonics at the end work (like how do you differentiate between an A harmonic and a D when in the video you seem to do the same motions)? I've been looking for a while now on the technique of the ending harmonics because they are the only part oof this song which is preventing me from learning the whole thing and as your tone seemed to perfectly match the actual recording, I was wondering if you had any advice on how to do them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

amazing! how are you playing the third stroke in measure 112? are you muting the D string with your pinky? I can't seem to get a clean chord without harmonics ringing out. I've resorted to hybrid picking it but noticed you didn't do that.

Question? Are you sure he's nit not playing (Q spider rif ⁶/⁸) -tabs are 10 12D-10 12A-10d-12D as you play it repeat. Its so fast hard to tell but maybe kinda sorta perhaps sounds like maybe hes hitting that 12A vs 12D (repeat) does that make sense? Or am i just trippin because ive heard it a million or so times and now im tone def af. Because that is more than likely the case just thought id run it by you. Plus its so much easier to play 12A! Gotta relearn this.

Max I feel like Adam should cut you in on some royalties or something because your videos are highlighting his work that is often difficult to clearly make out from the studio recordings.
